Linear low density polyethylene spot prices rose this week on limited availability of product following a string of production issues, sources said. European spot prices were assessed at Eur1,400/mt up Eur50/mt on the day. In the contract market, prices were assessed higher this week closing Wednesday at Eur1,400/mt, up Eur107.50/mt on the week.
