EDC: US ethylene dichloride was steady for the week, assessed at $245-255/mt FOB USG on Thursday. Overseas demand for EDC was strong and talked near the $300/mt CFR-basis, while selling interest from producers was heard $40-$60 higher, at a price that would netback to around $300/mt FOB USG, sources said. Despite the expectations of both sides, sources pegged trading levels at $240-260/mt FOB USG with shipping rates to Asia near the $50/mt level.
