PVC import assessments were stable in Peru but dropped in Brazil, on stable offers towards Peru and weak demand in Brazil. The PVC assessment in Brazil dropped $10/mt week on week to $865-$875/mt CFR, as demand remained weak and global prices decreased. Asia was considered the best region to import PVC from based on pricing, however, even with prices talked lower, demand in the Brazilian domestic market remained weak. “Europe still did not have material to export and I heard even the local producers are having a hard time selling material,” a Brazil-based trader said. In the Brazilian domestic market, PVC pricing levels were last heard at $920/mt delivered basis.
