The European polyethylene terephthalate spot price was assessed at Eur910/mt FD NWE Wednesday, up Eur20/mt from the previous assessment on support from feedstock monoethylene glycol, upstream paraxylene and on anticipations of better demand. The freely negotiated contract prices for February were seen at Eur910/mt FD NWE in Northwest Europe, also up Eur20/mt from the previous week and at GBP710/mt FD for the UK, unchanged from last week.
