The Northwest European polymer grade propylene market rose Eur11 on the week to be assessed at Eur736/mt FD NWE Friday, led by gains upstream. Naphtha, the primary feedstock for propylene rose $51.75 week on week, to be assessed at $485/mt CIF NWE Friday. With steep increases in naphtha, one trade source said, “I have seen [producers of] derivatives [of propylene] buying as some are expecting large increases in [the propylene] contract price next month.”
