Asian PET prices slipped $5/mt week on week to $895/mt FOB Northeast Asia and $900/mt FOB Southeast Asia Wednesday. The recent declines in feedstock MEG and PTA triggered lower bids from PET buyers for cargoes loading in early December, forcing several Northeast and Southeast Asian PET producers to cut offers. Buying sentiment has been bearish over the past two months and weakened further on falling MEG spot prices.
