LLDPE prices in the Far East were slightly higher this week in tandem with other PE grades, and alongside the domestic price in China. Spot prices rose $5/mt to $1,500/ mt CFR FE Asia. “The market is getting a bit more stable. Local producers do not have immediate pressure to sell anymore. On the other hand, downstream plants are restarting and [will] start buying because inventories at converters’ sites are low,” a trader said. Sources continued pegging the value at $1,490-1,550/mt in the north, with the most aggressive offers heard at $1,510/mt.
