The Northwest Europe PVC contract market fell under downward pressure in the last week of February following a further tumble in the ethylene price, sources said this week. The NWE ethylene contract price for March fully settled at Eur1,180/mt ($1,620/mt) FD NWE, down Eur20/mt on the February price, sources said Tuesday. After some initial settlements at rollover, two PVC buyers and three sellers reported prices this week slipping to at least minus Eur10/mt, and one buyer cited a net price at Eur820/mt FD NWE.
