US spot PX prices rose $5/mt week on week, assessed Friday at $1,160/mt FOB USG. Sources pegged US Gulf Coast pricing for PX around that level despite lower movement in Asia week over week. A major player in the market was heard buying recently at levels as high as $1,180/mt, and buying interest continued this week, which was supporting price levels, sources said. Demand continued to be slow as derivative PTA was oversupplied, sources said.
