US spot styrene was slightly higher on the week, gaining 0.05 cent to a Friday assessment at 71.45 cents/lb FOB USG as arbitrage windows to Europe and Asia were open, sources said. The assessment was up on the week for the first time in six weeks. April and May styrene was pegged at 71-72 cents/lb FOB USG during the week as bids were heard midweek at 70.50 cents/lb, against offers at 72 cents/lb.
