North African polypropylene prices were stable this week on the back of a lack of significant change in market fundamentals. North African PP prices were assessed at $1,550-1,555/mt CFR. Substantial buying from China was yet to surface and demand in the North African market was regarded as strictly need based, sources said. “The market is dead, nobody is buying,” one trader said, also citing expectations of a price drop as justification for poor demand.
