Asian purified terephthalic acid fell $13/mt week on week to be assessed at $952/mt CFR China Friday, despite feedstock paraxylene prices soaring, as a tight domestic market in China found some relief. Despite falling earlier in the week in tandem with domestic spot prices, PTA September futures on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange rebounded Friday afternoon and closed at Yuan 7,096/mt, up Yuan 96/mt from a week earlier.
