European ethylene jumped on the back of reduced availability and an increase in feedstock prices to a 2014 high of Eur1,015/mt FD NWE, a rise of Eur45/mt on the week. Deep-sea prices were up $5/mt on the week to $1,285/mt CIF NWE, cushioned by strength in the dollar. A spot purchase was reported for 2,000 mt for coastal ARG at Eur1,015/mt FD Friday. Buyers and sellers both concurred that prices had moved above Eur1,000/mt FD NWE.
