EDC: Spot prices gained $5/mt week on the week, assessed Thursday at $410-420/mt FOB USG, as spot March and April loading offers were heard at $420-430/mt FOB USG and trading was heard near the $410-420/mt FOB USG level. “There is spot tightness in the market and still substantial demand from Asia. We expect that until May,” one trading source said. The price is at its highest level since the August 18, 2011, assessment of $430-440/mt FOB USG, according to Platts data.
