Northwest European polystyrene contract prices were assessed unchanged in third week of the month, reflecting an overall decline of Eur45/mt from the end of May at Eur1,520/mt FD NWE for general purpose grade and Eur1,620/mt FD NWE for high impact grade. Upstream, styrene spot prices deflated $31/mt, or 1.9%, to close at $1,585/mt FOB ARA, as earlier views of tightness in the region on the back of the blast at Ellba were dispelled.
