Asian high density polyethylene prices were mixed this week, with a marginal week-on-week recovery seen only in the Far East film and yarn grades while other grades and regions remained under pressure from declines in Chinese domestic prices and elevated inventories on the Chinese coast. HDPE film grade rose $21/mt week on week to be assessed at $1,521/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, was stable over the same period at $1,515/mt CFR Southeast Asia and fell $16/mt to $1,529/mt CFR South Asia.
