US spot butadiene was assessed stable on the week at 75 cents/lb CIF USG Friday, as expectations for butadiene prices in May and June were conflicted. Spot pricing in April was talked in the mid-70s cents/lb CIF USG, however opinions varied for May and June pricing. Several sources said pricing could decline in the coming months, as cargoes from Asia are expected to arrive, and possibly ease tightness issues that have plagued the US since the beginning of the year.
