European polymer grade propylene prices rose this week to close Friday at Eur1,155-1,160/mt FD NWE. A number of sources noted the market remained significantly tight, which had not been aided by cracker rates pegged at around 80%. As a consequence, appetite to import propylene was said to have increased as market participants looked at import options from Asia, European sources said. However, not all market participants agreed on the feasibility of imports.
