European acrylonitrile prices sustained a balance this week to close Tuesday at $1,795-1,800/mt CIF Med. One trader said the market was quiet and he did not hear of any trades, adding: “People expect prices to come down, otherwise they would buy”; another trader said: “The market is dead, it is very weak. People are not looking for material and, to me, Europe is covered.” The trader added that prices were the same as last week and he heard of no offers.
