Asian butadiene slipped $15/mt week on week to be assessed at $1,455/mt CFR China, $1,455/mt CFR Taiwan and $1,410/mt CFR Southeast Asia. The FOB Korea marker was down $10/mt week on week at $1,435/mt. Low downstream demand led to about 9,500 mt of Asian butadiene moving to the US, with most of the cargoes coming from South Korea. A South Korea-based producer said Friday that he was considering offering 3,000-5,000 mt of butadiene for US shipment.
