The European ethylene contract price for March settled at a decline of Eur20/mt, to Eur1,180/mt FD NWE, which led an environment of decreases in the linear low density polyethylene market. LLDPE spot prices fell Eur25/mt on the week, while contract prices dropped Eur5/mt on the week, to Eur1,207.50/mt FD NWE and Eur1,422.50/ mt on the contract price. The spot price represented the lowest level since May 25, 2013, while the contract price represented the low level since January 6, 2014.
