The ethylene market in Latin America remained stable, amid unchanged supply and demand fundamentals. The ethylene production in Braskem’s plants- located in multiple regions in Brazil- was heard stable as well. “Our production is working in regular operations, as well as the demand,” a source with Braskem said Friday. Last week, as part of Braskem fourth-quarter earnings report, ethylene production in 2013 totaled approximately 3.4 million mt for the year and polyethylene production 2.6 million mt. In the Q4 2013, ethylene production reached 795,483 mt, down 8% from the previous quarter Q3 production of 866,000 mt.
