Asian butadiene prices rose $55/mt week on week to be assessed at $1,260/mt CFR China, $1,260/mt CFR Taiwan and $1,220/mt CFR Southeast Asia Friday. The FOB Korea butadiene marker firmed $40/mt week on week to $1,335/mt. Better downstream demand amid reports of restricted supplies in China supported butadiene prices. While no firm offers were heard for most of the week, two end-users placed bids at $1,250/mt CFR China Friday. A South Korean trader placed the sell idea for his cargo at above $1,300/mt CFR China.
