North African prices were assessed at $1,850/mt CFR, up $25/mt compared with last week level of $1,825/mt. The rise was supported by a stronger euro versus the dollar. Although European material was reported offered at Eur1,430/mt CFR North Africa, or equivalent to $1,977/ mt, based on a Platts assessed eurodollar exchange rate of $1.3824, the same source reported it saw lower prices being offered by Egypt Styrenics, with CFR or FD North Africa levels undercutting European offers at Eur1,350- 1,370/mt, adding: “We are not a buyer from Styrenics.
