Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene was assessed up $15/ mt week on week at $1,895/mt CFR China, as producers insisted on higher offers and domestic prices and demand improved, sources said. The CFR Southeast Asia marker was assessed up $5/mt over the same period at $1,915/mt. Offers for ABS were heard around $1,900-1,920/mt CFR China, versus buying interest at $1,890/mt CFR China, but no deals were concluded this week. A trade source said downstream operating rates had improved in China since February, and were now at an average of about 70%.
