Delivered North African polystyrene spot prices recorded marginal losses of $5/mt to settle at $1,860/mt CFR for general purpose grade PS and $1,950/mt for high impact material. Spot trade was lackluster, with local buyers holding off purchases to await more competitive prices, given the strengthening euro against the greenback. “On a dollar basis, Asia hasn’t changed their offers but in euro terms, prices have decreased in the last two-to-three weeks,” said a producer.
