Asian linear low density polyethylene prices were stable to firmer this week on the back of strong low density polyethylene prices. LLDPE was assessed at $1,460/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, up $15/mt week on week; at $1,460/ mt CFR Southeast Asia, stable from last week; and at $1,480/ mt CFR South Asia, up $10/mt. A Middle Eastern producer offered at $1,480/mt CFR China with a 90-day letter of credit this week. A Singapore supplier was heard to have offered at $1,520/mt CFR China this week. His cargoes does not attract import taxes due to the ASEAN-China FTA.
