Asian ethylene prices weakened this week as weak downstream demand persisted. The CFR Northeast Asia marker fell $25/mt week on week and was down $5/mt from Thursday to be assessed at $1,490/mt Friday, while the CFR Southeast Asia marker was down $15/mt week on week and down $10/mt day on day at $1,450/mt. Early week, bid indications were heard at $1,500/mt CFR Northeast Asia against offers at $1,520-1,530/mt CFR China for April-arrival cargoes.
