EDC: Asian ethylene dichloride prices rose $15/mt week on week to $500/mt CFR Far East Asia and rose $5/mt to $490/mt CFR Southeast Asia Thursday as supply continued to remain tight. A deal was heard for a 5,000 mt South Korean-origin cargo at $470/mt FOB. Offers were scarce, with only one Taiwanese producer offering at $500/mt FOB. Buying ideas were heard at $470-500/mt CFR Far East Asia. Discussion was ongoing for the only offer in the market and may conclude late in the week.
