Spot prices were assessed Friday at 53.25 cents/ lb FOB USG, down three quarters of a cent week on week. Market sources talked of offers in the 53.5-54 cents/lb range, with bids at and just below 53 cents/lb, according to sources. No confirmed deals were heard by time of assessment. US market players continued to monitor Asian MEG markets, where prices dipped $1-2/mt Friday after falling $91/mt and $51/mt respectively over the past two weeks.
