European low density polyethylene spot prices were weighed down by the fall in the ethylene contract price, which declined Eur30/mt on the week to Eur1,220-1,225/ mt FD NWE. Prices have been falling steadily since mid- January. The ethylene contract price was fully settled Tuesday, at Eur1,180/mt FD NWE for March, down Eur20/ mt on the month due to length in the ethylene market and softer naphtha compared with January.
