US low density polyethylene prices were talked stable to slightly higher this week, with market sources saying sellers had little incentive to lower asking prices given the talk of supply tightness and limited buy interest. Spot LDPE was assessed Wednesday at $1,5609/mt FAS Houston, up $11/mt week on week, with no confirmed deals. US sources pegged domestic spot prices around 70-71 cents/lb for railcars.
