European spot polypropylene prices edged lower to be assessed at Eur1,175-1,180/mt FD NWE Wednesday. Despite carrying a physical volume overhang from March, producers were not seen aggressively offering spot volumes this week. Spot buying interest remained weak as converters refrained from building stocks in anticipation of more favorable offers later this month. In turn, even with thin inventory levels, traders also opted for low volume exposure in the first week of April and struggled to find outlets for spot volumes.
