The spot polystyrene market ground to a standstill in the last days of February as sources expressed uncertainty over the direction of feedstock styrene monomer. “No one is looking for material,” one trader said, adding that a number of sources felt styrene could come lower and did not want to be sitting on high-priced stock. Spot polymer prices were reported flat against the previous week as the low end of the market was talked around Eur1,470/mt and the upper at around Eur1,530/mt FD NWE.
