The Asian low density polyethylene market was pressured down this week by bearish sentiment. LDPE was assessed at $1,410/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, down $30/mt week on week and at $1,470/mt CFR Southeast Asia, down $20/ mt over the same period. A Middle East producer offered April arrival cargoes at $1,420/mt CFR China Tuesday, with a letter of credit of 90 days. Iranian material was heard offered at $1,380-1,390/mt CFR China. This was not used in the Platts assessment process due to its sanctioned nature.
