European ethylene spot prices recovered form last week’s losses, uplifted by naphtha gains, sources said this week. Prices were assessed at Eur950/mt FD NWE, up Eur10/mt on the week. A deal in the Mediterranean was heard at Eur990/mt CIF Med, 3,000 mt, for early March, but it was considered to be unrepeatable. “That particular one was influenced by prompt need, so is over where I assess the Med market,” the buyer said.
