EDC: A reduction in Asian buying interest, following a substantial fall in ethylene values, led to European players revising April EDC spot price expectations down from the $350/mt FOB mark, sources said. At the same time, pressure on the downstream PVC market had emerged this week as producers eased back from initial contract offers which included both the ethylene pass-through and a margin increase to settle on a pass-through level of Eur25/ mt -- which immediately prompted more aggressive bids for the resin.
