Asian low density polyethylene prices were stable to firmer this week as supply tightness persisted. LDPE was assessed at $1,650/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, up $10/mt week on week, and at $1,660/mt CFR Southeast Asia, flat over the same period. Offers were heard above $1,650/mt CFR China. Malaysian-origin cargoes were heard offered at $1,700/mt CFR China. There were some deals done at $1,650/mt CFR China. In Southeast Asia, Middle Eastern cargoes were heard offered at $1,670-1,680/mt CFR. One producer in the region, whose cargoes does not attract import tax under than ASEAN China FTA, was offering LDPE at $1,720/mt CFR.
