US butadiene spot prices continued rising, assessed 1 cent higher on the week at 92 cents/lb CIF USG Friday on supply tightness as well as higher feedstock crude C-4. Sources talked pricing from 90 cents/lb CIF USG into the low 90s cents/ lb CIF USG, with the expectations prices would continue to head higher as supply tightens. European butadiene and crude C-4 continued to be heard drying up for export due to outages in that region and one trader said indications were for US pricing to go higher due to the snug European market.
