European low density polyethylene spot prices were further weighed down this week, as bearish expectations for April continued, limiting consumer appetite in the market. “Volume deals” directly by producers also added to the bearishness. A converter reported a “special deal” below Eur1,300/mt ($1,684/mt) FD NWE. He added that trader offers were at Eur1,300-1,350/mt FD NWE. “We have got unsolicited offers at Eur1,270-1,280/mt FD NWE,” another converter said. “We have been asked by producers to bid for volume deals, but haven’t had the need to do so,” a third converter said.
