EDC: Asian ethylene dichloride prices slipped $5/mt week on week to $395/mt CFR Far East Asia and $405/mt CFR Southeast Asia Thursday. Sources said buying interest was low, with May arrival bid indications at $320-350/ mt CFR China. Notional offers were at $400/mt CFR China. A producer said there was a bid for any April arrival cargo at $420-430/mt CFR China but Platts did not reflect the bid as it may fall outside of its assessment laycan of 20-40 days forward. “$380-390/mt is not attractive to suppliers,” the producer added.
