European low density polyethylene producers announced order stops this week, citing dried-up supplies, driving LDPE spot prices higher. “We would love to sell right now, unfortunately we are sold out,” a producer said. “The main reason is simply that customers reduced purchasing in Q1; now they are coming back to replenish,” another producer said, pegging prices at Eur1,340-1,380/mt FD NWE, adding: “Fractional melts 0.3 and 0.7 are seeing increased demand, reflecting the start of the agriculture season.”
