The low density polyethylene market in Latin America was mixed week on week. Although there was some buy interest, participants preferred to wait, with the expectation of lower prices in the coming weeks. In Brazil, LDPE increased $15/ mt, assessed at $1670-$1,680/mt CFR Brazil pressured up by higher offers from Asia. Dow Argentina was heard offering material at $1,700/mt CFR Brazil while South Korean sellers were heard offering LDPE at $1,720-$1,730/mt CFR Brazil.
