The assessment for Brazilian low-density polyethylene decreased $20/mt week on week, assessed Wednesday at $1,580-$1,590/mt CFR basis, amid thin market activity. Notional offers for 200 mt-volumes and up were heard this week at $1,590/mt CFR basis against no bids. A Chineseorigin offer for a 100 mt-volume was heard at $1,600/mt CFR basis, but it was not used as part of the assessment because it did not meet Platts’ methodology specifications for volume minimums.
