The spot price assessment for polyethylene terephthalate in Europe declined Eur5/mt ($6/mt) to Eur1,310-1315/mt FD NWE week-on-week amid limited activity while UK prices fell GBP25/mt to GBP1,120-1,125/mt FD. Several market participants reported that NWE prices had been stable but a wide range of numbers were heard, ranging from Eur1,265/ mt to Eur1,365/mt with the majority between Eur1,300- 1,320/mt FD. UK spot prices were under further pressure as a stronger pound sterling made life easier for UK converters.
