Asian acrylonitrile prices gained this week but were capped by buyer resistance to price hikes. The CFR Far East Asia and CFR Southeast Asia markers were both assessed Tuesday at $2,020/mt, up $10/mt week on week, while the CFR South Asia marker was assessed at $2,040/mt, up $25/mt over the same period. Domestic trades in China were unchanged from a week earlier at Yuan 14,800/mt Tuesday, or $1,952/ mt on an import parity basis. March arrival cargoes were offered at $2,050-2,100/mt CFR China while bid indications were at $2,000/mt CFR. April-loading cargo offer indications were at $2,000/mt FOB Taiwan.
