The European spot polypropylene price for homo injection grade surged to Eur1,165-1,170/mt FD NWE Wednesday on firmer fundamentals, mostly supported by improved incremental demand and reduced availability of some grades in several regions. Sustained reduced run rates at steam crackers and polymer plants, prolonged export flows, ongoing cautious inventory management by European producers, as well as a lack of buffer volume across the value chain, had all addressed the previous physical volume overhang, which was prevalent in March and April.
