Northwest European polystyrene contract values established gains of Eur5/mt ($6/mt) in the third session of the month to close at Eur1,635/mt FD NWE as consensus solidified around a Eur30/mt increase from February to March. Tightening regional supplies also lent strength to weekon- week increases, with more than one major producer having facilities shut at present. Styrolution Europe plans to restart its polystyrene plant at Wingles, in northern France by Wednesday after an emergency shutdown earlier this week, a company source said Friday.
