Spot prices and prices on freely negotiated contracts for virgin polyethylene terephthalate were assessed stable week on week, although prices for recycled PET climbed on increased tightness. Hot wash flake spot prices rose Eur5/mt on the week, to Eur980-985/mt FD NWE, while UK prices were up GBP10/mt to GBP810-815/mt FD UK. In continental Europe, spot and freely negotiated contract virgin assessments were at Eur1,320-1,325/mt FD NWE, while in the UK, prices were at GBP1,145-1,150/mt for spot product and GBP1,135-1,140/mt for contracts.
