Initial positions for European April PVC contracts were seen in a wide range as market sources reported grade K67 net values at Eur820/mt-850/mt. In March, Platts published the net PVC contract at Eur845-850/mt, up Eur20-25/mt from February, Platts data showed. So far in April, buyers were targeting up to a Eur30/mt decrease in the contract in order to reflect the sharp fall in the April ethylene contract price, which was announced last week at Eur1,265/mt, down Eur60/ mt from March. In turn, producers continued to aim for a rollover from March, although due to the drop in feedstock prices some would accept up to Eur20/mt discounts.
